Louisiana Rep. Clay Higgins(R-3) has posted a video on youtube at the Auswitch Concentration camp in Poland where between 1.1-3 million people met their deaths at the hands of the Nazis, this might seem like a bad place for one to preach a political message of any sort let alone one calling for stronger national security and militarism but this honorable congressman disagrees with you.

He starts off by saying “”Man’s inhumanity to man can be quite shocking.”, which would seem like a decent remark if perhaps he isn’t a perfect example of this phenomenon given that he tweeted “Hunt them, identify them, and kill them. Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all” in reference to radical Islamist. Rhetoric that with a few changes could seem like something out of a speech by certain Austrian immigrant to Germany who was responsible for the events that transpired at A switches

He then argues”This is why homeland security must be squared away, why our military must be invincible,” which seems rather odd given the fact that having an invincible military and calling for strong national security were key features of those who carried out the horrible deeds at these place but perhaps this congressman simply hasn’t been educated about it given that he hails from Louisiana, the 3rd worst educated state in the union.

There are two way to interpret these events and speeches, either Clay Higgins is simply unaware of the root cause of these events in which case he isn’t fit to be town mayor let alone a Congressman gave the importance history plays in politics and legislation or more sinister interpretation is that he doesn’t care about those outside the United states and see’s Auswitch as  only as reminders of what could happen to united states. Such Xenophobic attitudes simply do not  deserve a rebutal
